What this map shows

Alerion represents an IT estate as a living graph. Every node is a real component — an application, a server, a database, a supplier, a contract. Every arrow is a dependency: “this needs that in order to work”. It is the relationship, not the list of components, that carries the useful information.

A dependency chain, concretely

Take an ERP. It runs on a server, which hosts a SQL database, which is backed up by a provider, itself tied to a contract with a dated renewal. In a spreadsheet those five facts live in five unrelated rows. In a graph they form a chain — and the contract deadline becomes visibly a risk to the ERP.

Why it matters on the day of a change

When a change is considered — migrating that server, replacing that supplier, retiring that application — the question is never “what am I changing?” but “what depends on it?”. Alerion walks the chain: dependent components, potential impact, contracts involved. That analysis already exists in someone's head; it leaves the building the day that person is on holiday.

What you can try here

This demonstration shows a fictional inventory of five components, with no sign-up and no real data. Pan the map, select a node, follow its dependencies. What the demo cannot show, for lack of real data: inconsistency detection, the audit trail and compliance exports — they only mean anything on a populated estate.
